Garage Project Update….I don’t Think it’ll Ever be Finished
So it’s been a while since I have made any sort of update on the garage project I started what feels like forever ago. The last update was almost a month ago, and the only thing that has changed was I finally painted the little section above the garage door. Oh, and I also painted one of the garage doors and added the new oiled bronze handle and deadbolt. Yes, it took me almost four weeks to paint a little area and paint one door.
But, it is still progress! I started to turn my attention to the garden as of late. We tore out the rose bushes that were in the backyard, and replaced them with two different kinds of lavender. I also redid the drip irrigation in that section, as well as starting to replace the rest of the drip irrigation on the other side of the backyard. With one side of the garden done, Bea and I discussed what we were doing to plant on the other side. Well, Bea decided on the plants and over the past few days I have gotten most of the main drip irrigation line installed.
Then on this past Saturday and Sunday, I was able to dig out and plant six of the new plants. As well as installing the drip irrigation lines for those new plants. We also have started laying down sod little by little to finally get rid of the dirt patch created by the dogs, and the spot where there was a fountain when we first moved in.
My plan is to finish the garden, then I will finally get around to finish painting the garage. So stay tuned for the finished backyard and garage.
