Helmet Day One. So Far it’s not Going as Planned.

Today was the day we picked up Jameson’s finished helmet. Which meant that today was the first day Jameson was supposed to wear it for two hours. And then it doubles every day after that, meaning that by our next appointment he would be wearing it for 23 hours a day. As much as we tried to, Jameson only wore the helmet for just over an hour. At the one-hour mark, he just started screaming and crying as we had never seen him cry before.

But tomorrow is a new day, so Bea will have him wear it in the morning, and then when I get home he will wear it until it’s bedtime. And hopefully, it will go a lot better than it did the first day. But boy oh boy is the helmet design amazing. I would like to give a big shout-out to Kimberlee at Desert Domes for doing such an amazing job with the design of Jameson’s helmet. The Dr. Suess design came out so well, and we could not be any happier with it.
