Three More Weeks and the Helmet Comes off

Jameson’s Helmet Comes Off in Three Weeks!

Jameson is finally getting the helmet he has been wearing for the last few months off in just a few weeks. He has made incredible progress since he first started wearing it. Shifting a few millimeters every time he had a follow-up appointment. His head shape was finally within normal range a little over a month ago, with a shift of just 3 MM. Then at the end of April, he was at a 2 MM shift. So, technically speaking Jameson is close to having a perfectly shaped head. And let me tell you, boy can you tell the difference from where he started to where he is today.

While the journey is finally coming to an end, it would not have been possible without the help of Children’s OP and all of those generous donations we received from everyone. There were a lot of questions from people on why he had to wear the helmet and what the purpose was for it, and I have to say I was happy to answer every single one of them. The condition Jameson had is not rare, but not very many people know the purpose of the helmet.

The purpose of this post is to not only give an update on his progress and to thank everyone once again for helping us get Jameson the help he needed. But, I would like to donate all proceeds of any Overthinking Dad merchandise to The Halo Project, which brings awareness and support about plagiocephaly to the public and parents. So from now until the end of 2021, any purchase will be added to a savings account and a donation will be made in December to this amazing project.
